half moon low
cool unblinking eye
night unwinding
dreams electric
pass behind
this velvet sky

i hold
full cup
drink in mind
and swim in
effervescent
glow
i try to write
i flounder here
i grope for
stars
a champagne hope

later and later
this energy
pours out
i hold the edge
of this
idea
and sip
