it's a good morning

by Charlie Morgan

two silver lights walked across the sky
using clouds to soften their lofty steps;

their contrails are sunrise crossed Xs,
leaving their mark; a tip o' the morn'.

fly away to montana, or florida, or louisiana;
flight suits zipped to keep loved ones safe,
knowing my job awaits while they await their job.

my day is brightened as two earth-astronauts
and a simply complex atmosphere give a "shout-out'
to those of us burdened with the weight of gravity.
