beingness by Gira Bryantwe stand at the intersection of time space
we are the culmination
conjunction
we stand at the confluence
of all the choices, decisions
made by those who came before
we are the children of all that has gone before
the parents of what will come after
the juncture between above and below
past and present converge in us
yet, we do not serve to fuse them, no
we merely mark the spot
we each carry that most precious
of all divinities -
the now
we stand at an eternal crossroads
confronted endlessly by choice
and we choose, again and again
yet we never feel the sand
shifting beneath our feet
because it is we who stand still
and everything else that moves around us
we believe that we have power
but
it was really never ours to begin with
and
we must choose anyway
all energy, all light, flows through us
while incandescent we receive and transmit
simultaneously
shining like the stars in the firmament
of Her eyes
if I could only make you see
