america lives- america dies by Charlie Morganamerica dies with each drive-by.
clues abound, nothing but sounds;
lives lost in a dream-caravan,
only to be grasped in reality's clutch,
end up on church stoop-steps.
next generation and the next,
align themselves like castle parapets;
look down like a mean teacher.
america lives with scratched knees,
busted dreams and broken hearts.

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 11/14/07 at 02:44 AM You have expressed soberly, somberly the plight of America. With all the good that is going on the bad is dragging America down. Needed a genuine spiritual revival as in the end of the 19th century. |
