glass

by Rowan Luis

she breathed-in the small invisible shards,
allowed them through her bloodstream

and cried on the outbreath,
as they sliced their precious route

Every day I'm full of glass, but that's the only way I'd have it. Your poem says much in few words - an admirable talent; one I've always been jealous of. Anyway, short poem, but very sweet; very nicely done.

Broken, shattered, and full of holes in which our souls hiss like steam a they depart the flesh on each exhale... Oh, to take hit on a soul and watch my lips bleed the truth as this poem does. Vivid images!
