Reasonable Hatred
by Harold Millican
There is a very reasonable hatred
Sweet however in sound manner and touch
But it hurts so many races and such.
It mocks the bond of a family, and turns loving away altogether it seems.
There is a reasonable hatred and we dont see
How weve used Christianity as a sacrifice for our massacre on humanity
So many casualties just only voices in the wind
Dead too soon because of the wrong that had been
We blind other on-lookers by putting on our perfect show
But our reasonable hatred still shows, we all complain of our melancholy distress
Wary, of the next big life test
Never knowing the hurt lurking in the shadows behind, hiding the secrets
Deep secrets in your minds eye
Were fighting, combating the hatred, never to smile down again
Never to heed the hell and the inhumane sin
We arent going to give a purpose for an ill-timed pursuit
For the trial thats there brewing for the whining absolutes
The judges have not yet begun to fight
Over the equality war
For we are waging which can hurt us the less and benefit us more
Ive stood around too long talking to a brick wall
I will forever vow to listen so in hatred I will not fall
And this is the person that I will be
A conqueror, A negotiator, a fighter wholeheartedly
A champion for peace, an advocate for love
A person turning away the gossip that many speak of
Ill be a greeter to the positive
A silencer to the negative
A free spirit with my own prerogative
All this will I pledge to do thought perfect I am not
I will fight the reasonable hatred and give it all I got
Though we may never be equality people
We owe to the future generations to try
Therell even be tears and well cry
But at least we will know that we tried our very best
To achieve common ground and for that
I believe we will be heaven bound
