So now what to do?

What is to happen once again?

I wait for the day

When I can eventually say

All that I mean to say.

He told me he was awarded

Three Purple Hearts

He told me that he has won

This minor war with himself.

I think not, I think all he wanted

Was some validated, some

"Red badge of courage" to impress

Someone, somewhere, somehow.

I am powerless to do anything

Wanting to accomplish everything

For my son, who has no interest in me.

So now what to do.
