saddest news today by Charlie Morganyou probably couldn't take it,
so i'll buffer the sad news;
seems a friend and his bride
had the third girl of a pack
of already born (earlier)girls.
three times trying for a boy.
three times facing disappointment
treating the imposter to a seat
at the table of sad's-anguish,
both eating the last bite of hope.
he builds molehills for them;
were they boys, it'd be mountains,
railroads, guns, holsters, ammo;
so, it'll be a pretty blue dress
with the right amount of fringe. 11/06/2007 Posted on 11/06/2007 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

| Posted by Genevieve Sturrock on 11/06/07 at 08:27 PM ok...not sure whether to laugh, shake my head in disgust, or try to find the reason to be somber...but any which way, cute poem. go smack your friends' upside their heads and congratulate them on their healthy baby. |
| Posted by Michelle Angelini on 11/07/07 at 08:21 PM YAY! another girl to rule the world. ;-) So, are the women taking over yet? Your poem is one way to see the birth of a baby, yet they deserve your congratulations - she could be a future prez of the US in the making...who knows?
(ps - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!)
