rain drops by Gira Bryantthey're bound to fall
the other shoe
on my head
raining and pouring
into each life
yet -
it is always
the constant
drip drip
I mind most
the ones who think
they know better
than you
how to feel, how to cope
what to do
where you should be
what you should want
where you should get
what you deserve
No.
either it's my parade
or it's not and
if it isn't,
Conductor,
let me off this train
I meant to catch the other. 11/05/2007 Author's Note: for the afternoon scribbles - "Into each life a little rain must fall." "Raindrops keep falling on my head." "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring..." Any form of precipitation is my least favorite weather condition.
