Our Turn

by Kathleen Wilson

I stand
on white
clouds turned
into you

you come
on your white
horse that turns
into my white shield

you turn
into turning pages
protecting you
protecting me

white the sheep
that turn
to follow us
white

sheet knit
turned by space
to time
that castled

crowds
turn spiraling
and the moat
is full of tears

we step over it
turned into and over
all that comes to turn
into us

what winged dragon
could be bent
on quelling in his turn
such merriment

our pages
fold and turn
to build
our hidden nest

each pen a stem
to pierce the space
we've turned
to timelessness

interesting poem. Is this from a dream? Very descriptive.

I love the whiteness of this and the way each image turns into another page turned, another poem written ... ethereal the way each origami-s into a timeless nest. Lovely! *m.a

Such a fanciful fantasy with part of a chess board mixed in. Even a possibly friendly dragon to ride the sky and delight the crowds. And when the white is finally done, the pen races across the page to create and entertain.

"...our pages fold and turn to build our hidden nest" That...has got to be one of the most beautiful lines I've ever read. Lovely image, unforgettable sentiment. Thanks.
