Â
again, andÂ
by Leslie Ann EisenbergA cosmic itch, the urge
A twitch, nerves hit
Sway, tickle,
Bits, fonts radiate
Pulse my brain
in sleep soon
So soon wishes
Airborne pencil
Shavings, fly
Like I need to fly
Writing, timeless lover
Mother to my unborn me
Verve, swornfire within
Hear, here, gasp the breath
warm-red grasp breathe out
what I still am and
Always remembered
Child more than wishes
ripple swish dust no more
Foot to core slender
fingers spread seeds
Pretty ponies
punch smooth sand
beaches sunset
Lick the swirl of
Rainbow lollipops
A twirl, a girl, loved
and in love with
Everything she sees
Again 11/03/2007 Author's Note: a late night bird of inspiration ;)

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 11/03/07 at 03:10 PM Grasped by the "slender fingers" of your night before sleep, almost dream words are "seeds" into and out of the fertile mind... wishing for flight, for dream ("again" beyond "again") your metaphorical pen ("mother" of your self, your flight" "foot to core" the essential dance, your words...adore... and "pretty ponies" carry you on "again" anto another shore... beautiful night poetry |
Posted by Julie Adams on 11/03/07 at 05:22 PM there is so much to this piece...my favorite stanzas are 1, 3, & 5, b/c they pack so much in...stanza 1, i love the idea of the fonts in the brain...stanza 3, seems to strke a chord for me as a writer, and love the "warm-red gasp breathe out"...stanza 5, fresh colors and new imagery...a pleasure to read, peace, jewels |
