You stand at a crossroad-
signs leading in all directions-
and your little rubber band bracelet
grins up at you

unblinking

and demanding of you
What Would Jesus Do?

and as you stand there
scratching your head
it might occur to you to ask:

What Would You Do?

What Would You Do
if no one was watching?
if your father was watching?
if your child was watching?
if God was watching?

What Would You Do
if you had to look back on the result of your decision
for the rest of your life?

And maybe the real question
is really two questions, after all:

What needs to be done?
and
Will you do it?

Maybe the answer is not to be found
on a little
unblinking
rubber band bracelet.

Maybe the real question is this:

What Will You Do?
