the Home-coming Queen.
Though,
She is beautiful
in her complacency…

she is punctual
in her hesitancy,
but unsure
of her inconsistencies.

Where does her true role lay?
As mother, with the moon at bay?
Or swaying and playing under the stars?

Falsified alarm
that one day the sun won’t rise
