novembre

by Maria Massarella

enters my day cupping
sunshine and rainbowing
light

goldens my rooms after october
dimities and recent percussive
rain

temperatures are cold crisp
enough to perk nipples
i don't

know what that would measure
because the thermometer
expired

several years ago has not
been replaced per my
choice

i listen to body language when
it comes to heat my heater
concedes

to being manually tuned knowing
eventually surrender will be my
concession

Don said it! I can only repeat what he said with an emphatic AMEN!

Not sure I will ever think of November the same way. Amazing...
