With(out) Teeth
by Jersey D GibsonDanger is but a word and a feeling
sometimes things spin out of control.
Bright lights flashing in the distance
signalling that it's the end of the road.
I fell into that hole you call a mouth...
Serendipity, or so they tell me
my muse as left me for a younger model.
Grab with both hands, and hold on for life,
twist the knife just a little bit more.
I fell down, get up before it hurts...
See me here, I'm bleeding out,
lying naked, for all to see.
Your whips and chains are useless,
your words cut me deeply.
Fractorals and images all lay false
cynide tablets in the water supply.
Imprisoned by nothing but silk and lace
forgotten and locked up, toss the key.
Hell hath no fury for what awaits in heaven...
Scorching stones laid in a path
shoes left behind, don't walk so proud.
Time ticks backward, spiraling downwards
hourglass that has no end.
Hold me above jail, but below crimson skies...
See me here, I'm a laying waste,
without teeth and I am starving.
Your pity and sympathies aren't accepted,
when al I needed was an apology.
