Grayness by Christopher ShinDon't hate me cause
I sing at the top
of the world.
When the reeds seem
so red with your
eyes.
Cause I love the
way you sing to me.
The song of me and you dance
around the liquor.
I dance for the moment
we were together.
Yet slowly the burning
in the veins mix
with the wine.
Ashes don't seem
to understand that
we are forever,
and the wind can't
blow the sorrow away.
Time starts all over
again for us when
we stare at each other,
and our friends are
from different tribes.
So we are so far gone,
and the blood measures
the strains of our misery.
I love the death
we experience when
we hug for the first time
we met.
And I'm fine with
the warmth of hunger.
My stomach dines on
pieces of you.
All is there and I'm
fast forwarding through
my life and I'm gray.
Gray with strands
of blue and you.
