Love Lost, Such a Cost

by Eric Seligmann

the night can be broken

by the shattered smile

from the deepest fodder

i try harder and harder

just to be recognized

by someone simple

like my father

i realized again

i was born to be alone

cutoff from the world

iscolate myself safe

away in my hiding place

at the back of my mind

the migranes come and go

go and come

like the sun

bright light that seers through the darkness

shatters the moon and stars

the light hurts my eyes sometimes

i have been left alone

in my home

and the ties have grown

farther apart

silly girl

lead me softly

lead me on innocently

realized i am no longer

standing on ground

a little too late

stupid girl

i laugh as i fall

I laugh as the torment comes

I laugh as if i love the pain

you will miss me when i laugh no more
