First Light by Leonard M HawkesEarly,
Beneath a dark morning
Autumn-constelated sky,
The south mountain breeze
Struggling against me;
I walk with Him.
We have no secrets.
And in His knowing,
I am somehow fortified--
Weakness becomes hope.
Hope--faith, Faith
Even unto a Knowledge
Of that Dawning in the East.
10/23/2007 Author's Note: The daily two miles before sunrise. (This one has been set to music as a religious choral piece.)

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 10/24/07 at 05:21 PM There is a peace that comes from understanding that He knows all, and loves us unconditionally, affording a totality or completeness that no other experience on earth offers. This is beautiful. |
