Boo by Susan Q TomasIÂ’ll park the car around the corner,
HereÂ’s a good hiding place
I did the last one, you do this one
Besides you run faster.
Remember, put the bag down in front of the door first.
Then ring, then RUN!
We hide behind a bush trying to be quiet.
As we hear them open the door.
Calvin runs out into the yard,
“Ugh! I can’t see them, they’re gone!”
We watch in the shadows,
Giggling because we werenÂ’t caught.
Only it hard to be quiet when your excited and 7
My son James can hardly control himself.
The door closes, we run to the car, and drive
To the next house where we will leave
A bag of candy and toys on a front porch,
Doing our Halloween mischief.
10/22/2007 Author's Note: In October, people in our neighborhood “Boo” each other. It is anonymously leaving a bag or plastic pumpkin full of candy and toys on a front porch. We boo our friends, and they boo us. I really like this tradition. It is a lot of fun for everyone. Dan and I are more stealth than most people. We gained this skill in high school, only we TPed houses. This is much more fun.
