She likes it a little rough

(Or at least that's what she told me.)

And I tried acting oh, so rough.

(So I could get her to hold me.)

I tried, I remember

Yet I always come off as so tender.

What I actually really wanted

Left me alone, once again daunted.

"So can you really be rough?"

She finally asked.

I did indeed rise to the task.

I tried, I lied.
