For James by Amy NiggelSomeday you'll grow up and move away
you'll be a man
you'll be a husband
you'll be a father
but for today
if only for a little while
you are my tiny child
and for always,
just as today
you are my son. 10/17/2007 Author's Note: Just some thoughts as I sit here watching my tiny son sleeping next to me. I know these days will go too fast and before I know it I'll be holding my grandchildren instead. But for today at least he is here with me, my little peanut.

Posted by Rhiannon Jones on 10/18/07 at 02:07 AM A very sweet simplicity, but conveys a universe of feeling. The use of the word "tiny" here is very very big...conveys both vulnerability and potential in one breath. Very nice. |
