[Library] I Sleep Alone by Nikki RiceIt's awfully empty up here
now that you've all but trained me
now that I've become so accustomed
breathing next to you
as I sleep.
And it's terribly lonely at night
when I lay down my swollen head
when I double over in heart attack
missing your nervous heat
as I sleep.
But the mornings are most melancholy
as my feet drop to an icey floor
as my eyes struggle to feign awake
I only see your face
as I sleep.
Breathing
next to you,
Missing
your nervous heat;
I only see
your face
as I sleep. 10/17/2007 Posted on 10/17/2007 Copyright © 2024 Nikki Rice
