Venus Moon by Rhonda Maneki
Liquid luminescent glow of
a solitary moment slips a tear from
the moon to the corner of her eye...
As Venus lay weary upon a cloud of emotion,
her tiredness born of trying
to keep up with his Virgo mind,
as he runs in circles.
Thoughts, thoughts, no stops,
till he can no longer feel
her calm surround him, his world
becomes havok, impossible to be in.
She watches him, steadily run the race
within himself, as she calmly knits time
in a downy sweater for him to wear.
This sweater, to remind him there
is time to breathe, time to stand
back, to look, to observe, before
panic accends, before he has to measure
meticulously each moment, the quantity
of what she gives his compared
to what he gives.
He somehow can not believe
it's about quality of time,
not the measure of forever,
or a competition between them.
He seems always competing
with something, needing
to be the best, to win,
He competes with even Venus,
who he loves...
Venus, in all her gentleness, her Taurean soul,
accepting, still ever patient and waiting.
She watches till he is spent, as
he is finally exhausted, he sees
her laying upon that cloud, with open arms,
receptive loving embraces soft kisses which
beckon him home to the comfort of her.
She whispers softly, telling him all is alright,
everything is ok, nothing is difficult,
nothing is that complicated to worry him so, she
murrmurs reasurances till dawn his head
against her breast.
As his eyes close from the nights long race.
Venus nestles down against his lithe form, her
voluptuous, sensual curves his physical comfort,
Her gentleness his haven.
As the moon slips another silverly
liquid tear to the corner of her eye,
her voice so soft murmur
"Sleep sweet Virgo, sleep".
Venus, lay her weary
head atop of his,
her tears silent...
