DEAD END by P.T. BrooksWhen these words are heard
Let them be heard with surety
For they are the foundation of truth
And the edge to all your slanted lies
Love is not the answer to hate
Hate is not contradicting
As death also is not
Death is a promise
Life is a gift
So it seems to be given with circumstance
So if love is a gift
The opposing seems required
After all is admired
Time will retire
And leave us in ashes to sift
Memories aren't chosen
But bitter seems to stick
Maybe we allow it to
But the point is simply this
If love will turn to hate
And time retires there
There is no place to recreate
The means that brought us here
