It may take weeks to burn us out
over the squabbles over past, present, and future
until we think we cannot take it anymore,
but yet again last night reminded me
that all it takes is one good night with you
to erase all the bad ones we endured.

If we can just gather up about 2 months
of intense and deep passion coupled
with a growing sense of trust and togetherness
it should last us through 2008, and by then
all the things we hope for will be coming true
and everything we plan will be underway.
