Lost Inside

by Sarah Boom

Everything you’ve never wanted
Sits right here in front of you
You don’t know what you want
And she hasn’t got a clue
You can’t give her any hints
Because you’re just as lost inside
And Your feelings are as hidden
As the scars and pain
She hides
Underneath of all those bracelets
As colorful as her personality seems to be…
Look into the depths of her eyes
How is it you cannot see the pain she feels?
She knows that things will be alright
In due time…
Time...
Time is something that she doesn’t have
Because the clock is running out
She can’t keep waiting around
For the things that will never come her way
She is uncertain about her future
She knows she’s going to fail at everything she tries
Maybe she should give up
And run back home into the arms of those she despises
She doesn’t miss him the way he thinks
She doesn’t even think it was love
But she promised to love him forever
And Though it became never
Maybe she should surrender
After all, she’s so afraid to be alone
And her feelings will remain unknown
Because she can’t speak her mind
She feels worthless and used
Her hearts been broken and abused
And there’s nothing left for her here
There’s nothing for her anywhere
She will only amount
To the nothing you’ve told her she would
Her self esteem is non-existent
She has nothing but hate for herself
There is no one that’s ever wanted to change it
They’ve never tried..
She’s been filled with lies
And deceit
And the things she keeps hidden deep
Within herself
And she’s trapped here
in her hell
Because even she
Doesn’t know who she is anymore…

Author's Note: This was hastily written, and by far not my best work. However, it portrays well the emotion I was feeling at the time
