Any Given Day by Alison McKenzie
It occurred to me
That she will never be the same.
Then it occurred to me
That none of us will ever be the same
On any given day
Suddenly perspective shifts
And I can breathe.

Author's Note: This is about my grandmother's sudden decline into the world of Dementia - a specific kind of dementia that, for her, had a very sudden onset of symptoms including hallucinations and confusion and loss of coordination.
