Inside a Poets Mind

by P.T. Brooks

Welcome to a world

Known only by this pen

Welcome to a place

Without a now or when

Come on in and take a seat

This pen will move on still

As the troubled mind

And broken heart

Of a poet always will

She's got the devils slippers on

Run away now heart ache

Forgiven twice

She's cold as ice

These memories I can't fake

Moving on

Pros and cons

This page is growing quick

But do not fret

An ending yet

This pen holds one more trick

Dear lost forever

Gone somewhere

Forever is here today

Threes a charm

Allow these arms

Forgiveness if they may

Welcome to a place

Inside a mind less tame

Wonder is its highway

And theory is its fame

I live this line: "She's got the devils slippers on" Excellent work here.
