just right

by Charlie Morgan

sometimes, looking just right
you can see the wind.

not just feathers ruffling,
grasses bowing, leaves leaving;

the water-colored wind touches,
rises, touches, rises; a swoop,

as the wind lazily covers the ground
with a sluggish manta ray shadow

lifting warmly again until the clouds
become trusted friends with the Heavens;

'til all wings catch a warm nudge
and the fruitful earth cools, rests.

Almost unbearable in its simplicity of astounding thought. I am taken with this, I hope the wind will carry me away now, for I can almost see it. Love this, ultra poem.
