Pluto, After Dark

by Olivia Weinkein

i'm in a movie or i'm in a scene or i'm coming
on

in the next part

you can have my heart you can break my legs
i will still kiss you
in the morning

love is a rocket love is a star and i almost always
go too far

you can have the best parts of me, i promise

hugs & kisses and all that jazz

i see who you're looking at and she's not that bad
bleached out love pistol ripe for the picking

i drink my beer i nod my head the music is good tonight
soothing like a mother

cooing

we could have been so many things baby
so many things

we could have been we could have been

stars

off in the horizon off in our world a boy a girl
a world
of difference between us

i hear the first lines i love this song
i see you singing
you know the one

and in the morning
i'll be gone.
