It didn’t last as long as I wanted
but it was a powerful love
Now sometimes when I find myself dreaming
it’s still her that I dream of

Carolina rain falls soft against the window
as we make love in the candle light
Shadows dancing on the wall as our passion
burns ever hotter into the night

Memories like old faded pictures
allow me to visit now and then
