While sitting forlorn in a boring faculty meeting

I wonder what everyone else is thinking.

Minds diaphanous, eyes unblinking

My hope of exit rapidly sinking.

Sitting in supposed silence

Thus I pay my penance.

I think I just love to ask why

When I want to run and hide.
