There There

by Trisha De Gracia

Inside the still and quiet
of a silent mind is solace

oh

but Every place your hands belong
is where I hear her mouth
on you

and every Whispered goodnight phrase
is tainted with that switch of names

[you traded my Staccato for her tri~syllabic melody]

There is no silence
laying here

Alone.

We've all been there! Yes, even men. And for romantic types like me, before I was married, my heart felt like it was constantly going through the proverbial meat grinder. ANd the ONE great love in my life was also named Trish, so I cringe at the name. No offense to you. Excellent Trish.

But "Trish" ends in such a sweet, lingering "shhhhhh" of a whisper. He doesn't know what he's given up, clearly. Want me to beat him up for you???
