General Betray Us

by Ernest A Miller

You wear body armor we're forbidden to wear..
Holding stock in so many death dealing companies it's unfair..
How do you sit there and pretend to care?
If I live or die, if anyone really wearing a uniform does..
You live safe and secure with kevlar ceilings and doors..
I live in a wooden hut sandbags and steel bolted to walls...
Man if i saw you i'd just ask simply. Where are your balls?

Did they strip them from you and replace them with stars?
Is that why you're really with "politicians" and not ours?

You've gutted us today. Lying to the public in that way.
Smiling, feeding our families and friends lies..
Have you never once felt a twang of true pain at seeing the tears in their eyes?
I'm spent now, empty within..Two times i've been here.
A national guardsman guarding the foreskin eating nation, rotting within..

Did Nero play his fiddle so loudly that the whole world could not see..
The topple of the most mighty and just, burning into the Aegean Sea...
