Emotionally Naked

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

emotionally naked
stripped of all my foes
dancing free I long to be
free from all these woes

emotionally naked
exposed for all to see
not ashamed of the way
I was born to be

emotionally naked
no longer clothed in lies
false finery stripped from me
I will remove this cheap disguise

emotionally naked
I will cry
I will scream
I will laugh
no need to be
a social nicety
life passes by too fast

emotionally naked
don't dress me in prozac
keep the depakote
I have awoke stripped
your chemical clothes

emotionally naked
I think it is just fine
to color crazy
I am not lazy
I just despise your lines

Hi Maria, Great write. Yeah, emotionals can really get to ya at times. Maybe to scream helps too. Just like crying helps to relief stress and tenison. To be free of it all, no meds. Nothing but to feel free and just relax and enjoy life, like we're suppose to. Not to give into to them, letting them, get one down.
