Confusion

by Jeffrey Parren

It is the rug being pulled
from under stable feet.

The punch caught blindside
when you thought you stood alone.

The 5% tip from customers
who are from this country.

The 35% tip from customers
who aren't from this country.

Waking up feeling great
after a drunken fiasco.

A rainy day picnic ruined
only for movie night romance.

Making the best of everything
even when it is difficult.

It is not my love for you...
I am not confused about that.

I like the way you lay this out, especially in the third and fourth stanzas.

It is life and you pretty much summed it up!
