drawn back to when

by Aaron Michael

memory is a fickle.

tinted in hues
that no one described
at the time
and written in pen
that changes hands like
a dollar bill
it mutates and evolves
becoming grand and
glorified
when there was
at one point
just you
watching and wondering

what you'd think of
when you'd forgotten
this moment
years later.
