Memories of Love Ahead

by Jeffrey Parren

beach's glistening reflections
portray crimson-mooned sky
as children frolic with glee
forgetting to notice the beauty -
parents stuck with glued eyes.

memories regroup recreated
when dancing hearts flutter
into landscape of romantics
true loves can only see
images encapsulating.

nights are neverending when
time passes so quickly
yet thinking of anywhere else
is a folly against love -
all its depth and yearn.

finding one's true counterpoint
reminisces building blocks to love
but erasing past loves is simple
a future brightens with every moment
blinding the heart and mind.
