Tease

by Mary Ellen Smith

I see a leaf fall

In slow motion

turning gracefully in the summer breeze.

a little brown and tired,

it leaves the shade of the green canopy overhead

and lands on my windshield

but just for a moment.

and I frown

at the tree

who teases

a change of season.

You are so incredible with capturing this moment. I have never thought of the season changes this way, or -maybe I have, and your excellent art just flew it into me!

And this beaut will remain with my mind now all day and likely every day from now on.

I wasn't expecting the frown, it changed the whole tone of the description and what you were experiencing. Niiiiice.

Yes, those pesky leaves will fall. Some trees shed all summer! You've caught the ever suggestion of season change in nature quite well.
