redefine: motive.

by Aaron Michael

i feel i need to
wrap my arms around a
patch of grass
and let the world
feel my heartbeat

just so she knows
i'm still alive.

great poem and great title.

I love the extremity of the concept of this, the all embracing exasperated urge of it, the surreal grasp, the mind and heart feels on the verge of holding, the wonderful "motive."

This is so perfectly desperate and intense.

Aaron, if it helps any, I'll hug a tree for you, since there's not too much grass where I'm at. I understand so well, the feeling of invisibility, and do I matter(?)

Letting the world know that there is a very special woman in your life. A poem at Pathetic.org as good as flying a hot-air ballon saying I love you!
