Lost by Razel DaviesShe held me,
But now I'm lonely.
My senses search,
For what I've lost,
Never feel her warmth again.
Pleasures given,
And now they're lost.
No need to love,
No recipient of a smile.
Lost my heart,
Broken and always cracked.
Hurts and hurts,
Pains and pains,
Tears flow at an empty bed.
Darkness now embraces,
For my candle extinguished.
Light that once protected,
Now wounds me in the black.
Where is the light?
How can I live?
She is gone,
And I will never have,
That beauty again.
She held me once,
But never again,
Forever, now, I'm lonely. 08/16/2007

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 08/16/07 at 06:46 PM You've written the fine lyrics here-- have you written the music too? I can't hear it any other way. |

Posted by Joan Serratelli on 02/24/09 at 03:30 PM How can one who is so into horror be as tender, sweet and loving as you? I really love this piece. You will not be lonely forever- you have so much to give. You will find your soulmate, and who knows- she might be into horror! Keep writing- your poems are wnderful; no matter what the subject! |
