Of Grace

by A. Paige White

She sleeps
yes, she sleeps
but she's begun to dream
she's dreaming

her love is calling
he whispers her name
as gently heard
as a mouth pressed
to a swollen womb
"Prepare for birth"

the babe, the bride
she sleeps
but she dreams
of the One

He's calling
He's imputing and imparting
which is His glorious grace
when she awakes
at His kiss
so sweet
fleet
as a bounding foot
beautiful as the feet
of a bearer of good tidings
on the mountainside

He leaps for joy
sheer joy
His bride to awaken
fully dressed
gloriously attired in Grace
and ready for battle
to spread His whispers
in His dreams
of His bride

Author's Note: When I tasted again this morning, He's still good.
