you fell for the guys
who talked behind your back
and who didn't consider your feelings
so now you are used to that
and I am the one who suffers
because your guards are up
against someone I am not
so the things you say do hurt
though I wish this exterior
would just allow things said
to wash off of me
like sweat pouring
cooling me down
instead of absorbing in
and creating havoc.
