Wishing for a star
to wish upon
is like hoping
for an egg to eat
without the chicken.

I wake up and work
with utter a fight.
I just want to enjoy
the finer things in life
while I am still able.

I'll end this poem
before the words
become cries
and I hate it
and hit delete.
