redefine: paradox.

by Aaron Michael

we are all users
in shape and form
one kind or the next
seeking a fix
of a poison
predetermined,
predestined,
but poison still.

the paradox of
fighting addiction
becoming an addiction
when it's a substance ingrained
through generations of
wonder and whens and wills
that the myth becomes reality and
reality comes to be questioned
as if as if as if
we were in a place to judge fact
from fiction.

and when we burn the statutes that
have come to be cliche'
the ashes will not be collected.
