redefine: symbiots.

by Aaron Michael

we are born of desperation.
it creeps like the ebb and flow of fog
through and within to the
unknown places where light
never shined until
one met the other.

i felt the
slim slivers of sustenance
you left when you kissed me
mixing with blood and spirit
like cancer
until i needed you to survive the day.

now you and i are fatally intermingled,
symbiotically destined to carve the world
to fit two where there would be one.

knowing for all time that
seperation would be lethal, at best,
and at worst,
not.

I really like the second stanza. The voice, what I came away with as a kind of cool desperation. And that last line in there was terrific. Great work.

I can sense the love you express here for Roni...she is one lucky lady to have you in here life. Soon the two will be 3. Safe journey soldier...

Loved the pace and flow of your poem. It made me think of the life experience as an unavoidable and irresistible journey.
