Dancing Dimple

by Genevieve Sturrock

there is a little dimple
who lives just above
the corner of your mouth

he is a delightful
little fellow
twinkling with
the movement
of your lips

he winks when you smile
and deepens when
you laugh

but he is the most
enchanting when
he dances with
your thoughts

Author's Note: sometimes i engage my son in conversation, just to watch the dimple as he talks.

i really like this, so i am leaving a second comment. i like the language & the image. it reminds me of oscar wilde or something. have you thought about writing for children at all? i know this isn't just for kids, but still. I hope this gets POTD.

This one is just way too adorable, the way I imagine your son to be... .aloha..;-)

Aren't kids wonderful? I can see the love you have for your son. Thank you for bringing a piece of your life into our lives.
