Money

by Jeffrey Parren

Corporate executive
spending it exquisitely
yet not his anyway
working the 6am to 12am
where is his family?
Sitting at home wondering
where or who their daddy is.

A poet writing with words given
by passers by, without it,
yet happy and content
with all that continues on
for love of craft replaces
being without it.
But what else is he missing?

Internet wiz kid.
Sold his searching thing-a-ma-gig
and made quick millions.
Cracked out and alone.
It came too quick
along with adulthood
and life's sour messages.

Author's Note: Not sure if this is complete...opinions wanted.

It takes all kinds. Another necessary evil. Thanks again for the word Amy.

Using the title as a center, it would be interesting to see how other facets of life relate. I like the point of view very much!!!
