kalidescope by Traci Mabatssometimes I wish
that just once
I could have ran
naked with you
through the trees,
chased rivers,
stepping lightly on stone
I would have liked
to press my sword
against yours
test my metal
Yours may have more shine
but I am sure mine is sharper
for I have always had this bitter tongue
You were always such
a wicked boy
with your gleaming words
subtle innuendo's
slipped into conversation
making the girls
believe once again
in foolish things
it is not my wisdom
but my cynicism that saves me

Posted by Jim Moore on 07/26/07 at 06:22 AM A wonderful, creative piece, almost as if you let your words run free and find their places. Enjoyed! |
Posted by Michelle Angelini on 08/05/07 at 02:58 AM Oh yes! Not only do your words run free, your take charge, you're not gonna get me attitude is incredible. I like what you're saying here, since so many times people (yeah, men - sorry guys) ;-) think they're the center of the universe and know more than women. That's right, that's right - whip the competition with words and don't give any ground. ;-)
