"Armored" by Max PhineasI don't think your heart is cold
You're only angry at the world
Around you for what it's done
To the people you loved the most.
I don't believe you're incapable of love
Just afraid of the pain you tried in vain to escape.
Memories flood back
With every glance
And it's all you can do
Not to tear away
from the life that screams your vulnerabilities.
I can see through your eyes
Feel the heat of your hate
But as I reach forward
For your heaving, crying chest
The warmth of your heart
is all I need
to know your guard falls farther
the nearer I am.

Posted by Genevieve Sturrock on 07/26/07 at 12:49 AM nice...nice sentiment, nicely written, just all around niceness. good to read decency in a young man. |

Posted by Charles M Harrison on 11/30/07 at 03:34 AM This could be about my wife and all she went through before I met her. I do not know what I would do with out her. She lost her childhood and I try to give back as much as I can. In return she is my heart. |
